Tasting Notes: Brown sugar, Rum and Raisins
This honey process coffee is grown on the Zalmari Estate in the Cachi region of the Orisi Valley of Costa Rica. Surrounded by volcanic mountain ranges the low evening temperatures benefit the ripening of rich full-flavored beans. The Zalmari Estate is owned by Cecilia Genis and her mother Marigold Murray. They are long time members of the IWCA (International Women's Coffee Alliance). They are passionate about women's empowerment, and their farm was the first to earn the WWC (Womens Care Certification). This certification is designed to improve the sustainable lifestyle for women involved with cultivating, processing, trading and exporting coffee.
